Laserl\u00f5ikamise \u00fcks konkreetne kasutusala on tooted, mis liiguvad protot\u00fc\u00fcpimise etapist esialgsesse tootesarja. Protot\u00fc\u00fcbi suurendamisel v\u00f5ib detaile vaja minna sadades tuhandetes ja Edika laserl\u00f5ikusteenused sobivad selleks ideaalselt. Laserl\u00f5ikamine on ainulaadne ka oma l\u00f5ikamismeetodi poolest ja see on muutunud populaarseks kunstilistes ja esteetilistes disainides. CNC-mehaaniline t\u00f6\u00f6tlemine on v\u00e4ga sarnane laserl\u00f5ikamisega, kuna selle teljel kasutatakse CNC-d, kuid muudetavate t\u00f6\u00f6riistadega pea kasutamine pikendab t\u00f6\u00f6riistade vahetamise ajal tootmisaega. T\u00f6\u00f6riistade kasutamisel n\u00e4hakse ka vajadust vahetada freese, kui need kuluvad (kulumaterjalina), samuti v\u00f5tab kaua aega materjali aeglane l\u00f5ikamine, et v\u00e4ltida freeside kahjustamist.
